Who runs this site

AI Tax Practitioner is an independent reference desk for US tax practitioners. The operator's identity as the data controller is disclosed in the privacy policy; for all other purposes the editorial address below is the point of contact.

Reference site, not advice

AI Tax Practitioner is a reference site. Nothing here is legal, tax, or accounting advice. Where a regulatory or technical question requires CPA, EA, or attorney judgment, we point you to the right place. Use the content here as a starting point, not as a substitute for qualified professional judgment.

Reading the site, subscribing to the newsletter, downloading a template, or emailing the editorial address does not establish a practitioner-client, attorney-client, or other professional-services relationship between you and the operator of this site. We do not prepare returns, file forms on a reader's behalf, or represent practitioners before the IRS, a state tax authority, the Office of Professional Responsibility, or any state board.

Tools

Interactive tools (checklists, generators, calculators) run client-side. Inputs stay on your device; we do not transmit or store them. The tools produce outputs based on the inputs you provide. Verify outputs before relying on them. We make no warranty as to accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose.

Editorial content

Articles, reviews, and reference pages reflect our editorial team's best read at the time of publication, with the date stamps to prove it. Regulations and vendor products change. If you spot something stale, email [email protected] and we'll fix it.

Affiliate relationships

Some links to vendor products are affiliate links, disclosed inline on the relevant pages. Affiliate revenue never affects coverage — including negative reviews of partners. See /about/#disclosures.

External links

We link to vendor documentation, IRS publications, Federal Register notices, state-board issuances, Reddit threads, podcasts, and other external sources. Links are provided for reference. We do not control linked sites and do not endorse them by linking. Use your own judgment when leaving the site.

Intellectual property

Original editorial content on AI Tax Practitioner is protected by copyright. Linking is welcome and encouraged. Republishing in full requires written permission via the editorial address. Quotations within fair use are fine; please cite and link back.

Limitation of liability

We provide this site as-is and as-available. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator disclaims all express and implied warranties — including accuracy, currency, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The operator is not liable for losses, damages, missed filings, professional-conduct exposure, penalty assessments, or any other consequence resulting from reliance on the content. Use the site as one input among many; the professional judgment is yours.

Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator of this site and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the site, your reliance on content here, or your breach of these terms. This clause survives termination of use.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district where the operator is established, unless mandatory consumer-protection rules in your jurisdiction direct otherwise. Nothing in this clause restricts a US reader's mandatory state-law rights, including those granted by the CCPA / CPRA and analogous state privacy statutes — those rights are addressed in the privacy policy.
